This cake was near & dear to me - marking a full year of taking my hobby to the next level. This little guy's 1st birthday cake got the ball rolling and it has been such a fun year of cake making, learning, dealing with mishaps & most of all being creative. With each new cake I am so honored & excited for the adventure at hand!

I had the opportunity to try a new recipe with this cake ~ The vanilla bean buttercream was delicious & unique ~ I think it would work best as a filling or for cupcakes (hard to spread smooth) ~ but it was great to try something new!
